Bob L. Cox was born and raised in Johnson City, TN. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was employed for 33 years with Eastman Kodak Company/Eastman Chemical Company in both Kingsport, TN and Columbia, SC.
After retirement, he began writing local East Tennessee history articles and features for the Johnson City Press. Bob has written three books, Fiddlin’ Charlie Bowman (UT Press), Remembering Johnson City (The History Press & Arcadia Publishing), and Forever A Hillbilly.
